The old village hall was built by the village and we've all had a great time over recent years with events like our Guiness Book of Records bid in 1987, the 1988 Embo Independence Day - when we annexed Golspie - and our Embo Olympics in 1989.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary in 1995 of VJ Day, the US Navy unveiled our plaque marking the names of Embo people who fell in the two world wars.
